This Is Pop is seeking a freelance Researcher to work on game projects and lend support to the creative team.
The right candidate will have:
- A passion for games, pop culture and interactive media
- Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
- Availability to work 3 - 5 days a week
- A college degree
- Familiarity with various aspects of game experiences, structures and user interfaces
- Experience with HTML and Photoshop
Responsibilities may include:
- Supporting producers & assisting with all aspects of project production
- Capturing video, taking screenshots and obtaining other reference for designers
- Researching audio resources for sound designers
- Researching characters, locations and story elements for games
- Researching and writing summaries of existing games, on and off-line
- Game testing
- Writing up project proposals and overviews
- Taking notes in internal meetings
- Organizing meetings and calls
- Updating web pages
- Answering phones
- Ordering supplies
- Helping with various other miscellaneous virtual office related tasks
You should be proficient with MS Office, possess great organizational skills, be motivated, thorough, eager to learn, and have an interest in games. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Prior office experience is required, a college degree is preferred. There is definitely room for advancement in this position.
Please note, this is a remote position. However, you must be available for weekly meetings and errands in the city when necessary.
